Antique
collecting is Ian & Christina Fenwick's passion. They opened
Antiquities in 1990 and ever since have strived to create an atmosphere in which to share that passion. With
50 years of
combined experience, they have built a business which continues to supply inspiration to their extensive and long standing list of European and American trade buyers, not to mention interior designers worldwide and a large number of private clients throughout the UK and Ireland. It is this customer loyalty which they continue to value above all else.
From
the beginning
their son
Tom accompanied them when they went buying and so now it comes as no suprise that he, along with his partner Jenny, have joined Ian & Christina, to make
Antiquities a dynamic family business. The Fenwick's (along with their 2 dogs - Barney & Bill) love to welcome customers to their shop and hope that you enjoy the
Antiquities experience as much as they do.
Unique items are always hard to find, but finding the impossible is what
Antiquities is about. Travelling extensively throughout Europe, the UK and Ireland, they carefully select each piece for their showroom as well as taking the time to source specific items for individual clients.
Widely regarded as one of the best independent stores outside of London,
Antiquities main showroom is situated in the heart of picturesque Arundel with a additional 3000 sq ft warehouse just outside of the town. In both locations you will find a wide selection of C18th/19th English and French furniture, decorative objects, mirrors, lighting and architectural antiques.
Inspired is how you will feel when you visit
Antiquities, with its own unique and exciting style. This is reflected in the many people worldwide who have become good friends and clients over the past 20 years. It is this passion from their customers, which continues to inspire and motivate Ian & Christina. It has led some to describe the experience at
Antiquities as ‘
food for the soul‘.
